Homework
It
takes practice to learn mathematics. Daily work will be assigned. Consistently doing you homework will
prepare you for the quizzes and tests.
Attempt every problem and show
all of your work to
receive full credit. Always use pencil for assignments. I expect homework to be done by the following
day. I normally do not accept late work. It does not benefit you or me if homework is done after
we have covered the material.
Late Policy
You
are given four late coupons which may be used during the first and second
semester after which I will accept late homework.
Warm-ups
Every
Friday warm-ups will be collected for the week.
Mountain Math
Problem
of the week will be given out every Friday and is due the following Thursday by
the 4th period for full
credit. The problem of the week
needs to be written legibly ink.
After that I will accept it one week late for 50%.
NOTEBOOK
You
will need a Composition Book for Notes. You will need to have your binder
organized with dividers. The Composition book and notebook will be graded
periodically as a quiz grade. Your
binder must contain the following:
Sections:
1.
Class Handouts (like this paper!)
2.
Daily Warm-up
3.
Current assignments (keep the current chaper and the
previous chapter)
4.
Problem of the Week (POW)
5.
All quizzes and tests
MAKE_UP WORK
If you are out of the class for any
reason, it is your responsiblity to:
Check
with me for the work you missed
Turn
in make-up work.
Schedule
make-up quizzes and tests with me
If
you have any problems or questions see me near
the
end (not the beginning) of class.
You have one day per day you were absent to turn in work.
This includes tests and quizzes!
TARDY PROCEDURE
You
must be in your seat when the bell rings, otherwise you are tardy.
Tardy
students will make up one minute during the passing period.
See
school handbook for other consequences.
If
you are late, excused for unexcused, be courteous and quiet.
