Rockfish

 

 Alaska Black Bass, Alaska Rockfish Rockfish are available in Resurrection Bay area of Seward.

Rockfish appear somewhat perch-like or bass-like, and are often called sea bass. All species have flesh that is delicious to eat. The most common species taken include the yelloweye, quillback, copper, dusky, and black.  The majority of the rockfish caught in Resurrection Bay are black bass.

Rockfish are caught while fishing for Silver Salmon.  The photo below shows a LIMIT of silvers and several rockfish (the darker fish) caught in Resurrection Bay.
