Training Habits

 

During the scholastic season, I practice or compete about five times a week.  Training includes exercises such as no-scope groups, black card groups (shooting a black card to develop awareness of inner position), individual position work, and match imitation.  

Off season, I practice in my basement or at club training events when we have access to a high school range.  Mental and physical conditioning are being incorporated into my daily routine this summer. 

Sugar and caffeine are avoided, at least until after I've shot for the day.  I am careful about diet and avoid simple sugar (except for an occasional treat).
