Greetings
from the last frontier! I have lived in
Juneau, Alaska since
1998. I currently work for the
Alaska
State
Library. I don't use a psuedonym
in my Internet life for three reasons:
- I am passionate about
openness and transparency.
- It tends to keep my online
postings more polite and fact-checked.
- I firmly believe that a well
motivated individual or agency can break any
psuedonym.
This web site isn't going to have a lot about my personal life. I plan
to use this space to share my profession, my state and perhaps some of
my beliefs. It will also hopefully give me a chance to keep my web
coding skills from completely rusting away. So, here is what I have to
share:
- My Resume
- It shows the ten years of my professional life since I started
library school at UT Austin.
- Our Photos
- I've been
married over 14 years, and my spouse and I take pictures now and
again.
- Living in Alaska
- A page
with links for people considering moving to Alaska. If you just want to
visit, I suggest the official
tourist
site.
- Projects pages - A list of work
and personal
projects I'm involved with.
- Blogs - Almost every
librarian has one or more these days. Here
are mine:
In addition to the photos listed above, I am proud member of
Flickr!
