Administer Alaska state depository program and supervise selective
federal documents depository. Coordinate with government agencies and
other libraries to ensure timely, statewide distribution of government
information. Responsible for cataloging and processing operations for
the State Library through supervision of staff of five. Lead librarian
for web reference. Created one stop web page for Alaska State
Statistics. Provide reference service to general public.
- Government
Services Librarian November
1998 - November 1999. Provided reference
and research assistance to state agencies and members of the Alaska
State Legislature. Prepared annotated bibliographies and Internet
resource lists on subjects of interest to state agencies. Conducted
training sessions on new databases for library staff. Provided
reference service to general public. Created searchable list of print
and electronic journals available to the State Library.

Defense, United States Air Force March 1996 - November 1998
- Intern

1998. Served as network administrator for CD-ROM LAN and GEAC
ADVANCE
library system. Planned transition from manual to automated circulation
system. Developed GEAC training materials and procedures for
circulation and cataloging modules. Resolved three year backlog in
updating computerized catalog. Installed and tested all new software.

software installation and troubleshooting, as well as hardware upgrades
of computer equipment. Copy-cataloged materials using OCLC. Provided
reference service to patrons. Wrote procedures guides for staff and
patrons. Developed library outreach program to NCO Academy students.
