This is the Iditarod web page of Gordon Hartlieb, AL1W

I'm coordinating the amateur radio communications for the ceremonial start of Iditarod XXXVII on Saturday, March 7th, 2009.  Links to the left are for hams that are volunteering on that day.

Everyone: please read the Start Guide to familiarize yourself with the overall event.  Each of the Net pages has the time schedule, frequency, tactical calls, and roster for that net.

Very Important:  In order to get your ID badge and a hat (and be able to stay in the fenced area downtown)

You must go to the Millennium Hotel (4800 Spenard Rd.) and sign-up at the Volunteer desk (open 9am to 9pm)  See Also
You'll have to sign a "release and hold harmless" agreement.
You'll have to pay a $10 fee for insurance.
In exchange for the hold harmless and $10, you get the insurance which becomes primary medical coverage in the event of an injury during the event.
I'M NOT GIVING ANY LEGAL ADVICE: IT'S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO EXAMINE THIS.
I'm trying to get a copy of the medical coverage, so I haven't seen that part of it yet.
I'm providing a list of volunteers to ITC on Wednesday, so checking in on Thursday, March 5th should work well as they might have your ID printed and you won't have to wait for them to make one.

Net Summary:
