Wood, earth, water, fire, and metal. These are the five elements of the Tong Amida Ryu ninja. (Air is also taken into effect, yet is considered a void)These elements are considered the building blocks of everything. They can describe a person's attitude, meditation can be performed to strengthen the presence of them in a person, and there are even forms of hiding correlating to these basic elements.
Air(Ku)-also known as the void, it can change quickly and is unpredictable
Meditation-
Earth(Chi)-very sturdy, steady, and stable
Meditation-
Fire(Ka)-fierce, easily excitable, destructive
Meditation-
Water(Sui)-can be calm, yet fierce when pushed, fluid, adaptive
Meditation-
Wood(Moku)-stable(grows from earth), calm (feeds off of water), yet when pushed it comes crashing down(like a tree)
Meditation-
Metal(Kim)-
Meditation-
They are the stages of manifestation of the energy from subtlest to densest. They are called thus to the cosmic agents and the vital forces that guarantee the periodic renovation of the nature and everything in her. The elements are:
Earth (Chi)
Water (Sui)
Fire (Ku)
Wood (Moku)
Metal (Kim)
They are the phases of a continuous cycle that all and everything cross, "... everything in the universe vibrates, nothing is static. "
Each element gives origin to the following one in the series, produces it in certain form.
Their interrelations in the cycle of creation are the following ones:
Metal - water - wood - fire - earth - metal
The cycle of destruction, is the following one:
Metal - wood - earth - water - fire - metal
As a whole they are psicocosmos, a map of the mind. They symbolize psychic states, types or modalities of energy, archetypes of the unconscious group, etc.
For the old ones they were the fundamental elements of the nature, from which all the things obtained their being. The modern scholars think that they spoke in literal sense, speaking of the elements that we see in the world that surrounds to us, and they create stupidity and innocents.
The stupidity is these " scholars ", who do not understand the depth of the knowledge and the magnitude of the wisdom of these ancestral wise people.
When speaking of these five elements, they wanted to make an analogy between the behavior of the energy and certain qualities that they saw reflected in the physical world.
The wise people of post-modern and declining the world in whom we lived are giving account of which the old ones were right, thanks to the discoveries of the modern physics, in special of the quantum one.
They found that an atomic level sub exists of four fundamental forces: the strong one, the weak one, the electromagnetic one, and the gravitational one.
Each one corresponding to one of the elements of the old ones, fifth would come to be that invisible force that unites to the others, maintaining its individuality.
They are these forces those that structure all the existing matter in their myriads of forms.
Everything what we see, and know, this fact on the basis of these forces and to their interrelations, to the form in which they are combined and they opposed.
These five elements are pronounced in the scope of the psychic thing of the following way:
The Wood is the creativity and the source from which arises all the others; the Metal is the mind and their thoughts, are the analytical power, are weapon of double edge, penetrating; the Fire is the will, are the ideas and our power of initiative; the Water is the emotion and the feelings, the symbol of the unconscious one and the endless depths of the mind; the Earth is the body, the stability, the discipline, the certainty, the firmness, etc..
Within the four fundamental psychic functions of which Jung speaks to us to Carl G. the correspondences they are the following ones: the fire is Intuir, the water is Sentir, the air (the metal) is Pensar, the Earth is the Sensation, and the fifth serious element (wood) is that force from which these four arise, serious the means between the Emptiness (the Tao) and the elementary world.
The classification of the five elements plays a very important role in acupuncture, and therefore in the Chinese traditional medicine.
In the Esoteriics the elements are understood of this one way. The Earth is the magical Pantaculo, is the ability that we have of creating (to make real) the things, intentions or desires.
It is the fundamental base of all our experiences and on which we constructed and we give form him to our desires.
The Fire is the Command baton, is the will, is the igneous power with which life is created, it is the symbol of our protective force, with him we impose our will on the cosmos.
The Water is the Sacred Chalice, represents our powers of perception, the highest level of inspiration, is receptivity, the cosmic, Yin.
It is the magical perception by means of which we are able to see the past, the future, the hidden thoughts of the men, which this beyond the evident thing.
It allows us to perceive with much more that with the physical senses, to penetrate in the deepest mysteries of the nature. It is the crystal ball of the fortune tellers. Any thing that allows us to perceive of a little habitual way is an instrument of the water.
The Air(Metal) is the magical Sword, is the analytical power of the thought. It is the reason and the intellectuality. It is our capacity of synthesis and of understanding, with the sword we cut, we destroyed, we synthesized.
The thoughts are like the air, dispersed, subtle, difficult to catch. It is the East, the rising Sun, is Horus, the avenging son. The Ether is lampara magician, is the Chi, it is the means between the chaos informs (the Tao) and the material world.
It is what unites to the other elements in a ordered chaos, around a common center.
The man is a complete microcosm, reunities within, if to the five elements that are dispersed in the nature. The star of five ends is a symbol of the man, of the micro-macro the cosmos, the elements, our psicocosmos, and the universe.
In each one of their ends the five elements are placed, studying their positioning we see as the energy goes of a manifestation state to another one.
We got to know the cycles creation and destruction, the affinities between the elements, their interrelations, and their antagonisms.
We can know as the elements in the nature behave and therefore, in the man. Armed of this knowledge the Ninja one with the universe takes control, becomes an extension of the cosmic will, helped by the impulse of the universal whole number undertakes all act, leaving victorious in all confrontation, acquiring an illumination level that places it in a level different from the one from the rest of people.
With this symbol we can see and get to include/understand the process that the spirit in his reduction crosses towards the matter, and the process that must cross for its liberation.
Trigramas of the I - Ching (the Book of the Mutations) is related to the five elements of this form: Metal - Chien (the sky) and Tui (the lake); the Fire is Li (the fire); the Wood is Chen (the thunderclap) and Sun (Wind); the Water is Kan (Water); the Earth is Ken (Mountain) and Kun (Earth). When relating them to the eight trigramas we can see the behavior of the five elements (the science of the Wu Hsing) within the Arbol of the Life (psicocosmos quite complex, and probably most suitable for the categorization and ordering of the knowledge).
Both are arquetípicos systems that classify the fundamental energies of the universe of a given way. Including/understanding what this means and what implies it offers the opportunity to accede to a simple and ample knowledge that in its simplicity includes everything.
