IMPORTANT PERSONS/MEMORABLE CHARACTERS

KAYLENE
Twin Sister of Sir Kayvan (now Duke of Sypria and Baron of Galatine) , Kaylene left home (though everyone still thinks she was kidnapped) ca. 2960 in the company of Ulric von Darnor (among others). She left home because a) she was not prepared to settle down and be the wife of a Kironian noble and b) although she was better at all the knightly skills (at least the combat ones) than her brother, she would never be able to achieve what he could--by simple virtue of her gender. She had many great adventures, but her Fury (men being aggressive with her) continued to get her into trouble. She killed a renowned Hubrian Warbringer named The Eigenfaust and the Prelate of Castle Boreas in a six-month period. From there, she fled to Dethrien, where she became involved with the Cult of the Lady.

She became the focus around which the Freedom! Saga was originally built. Breaking away from the politics of the Cult of the Lady, she continued to do their deeds. She gathered some people she knew (Hagen and Sasha among them) to stop the marriage of Valeria to Gunther dan Cragan, a man old enough to be her grandfather. It was during the adventures that ensued that she fell in love with Hagen (and he with her, despite his vow). She died under the mountain just before the party found the lost Dwarven Clan Gemscepter. Miraculously, Kaylene reappeared in the Freedom! Saga. She was too late to join Hagen and Sasha before they faced Naugurth, and remains the only known survivor of the company.

KEL'WYN WEAVEMASTER

Elvesti Legolareven, one of the immortal rulers of the descendants of the Eldritch, Kel'wyn Weavemaster grew quickly to be one of the most powerful individuals in The Kingdoms.

One of the Protectors, and bearer of The Staff of Lothlemyrien, one of the Five Arms of Gwyddenmyr, Kel'wyn was instrumental in unlocking the Vault of Kyre Bhannorh and bringing to light the true story of the downfall of the Skuldavian Empire, The Awakening, and the coming of Wyddoriah.

Together with Mystra, Mistress of Lightning, Lord Ulric von Darnor, Lucas "Trifle" Luthien and Balim Pathfinder, Kel'wyn swore the oath to protect and serve Twyrrh Glannath, the magical glade that keeps the Destroyer at bay.

Unfortunately, as the glade falters, so do the Protectors. Balim has lost Shintharra, Bane-odwyn, to a mystical accident. Lord Ulric lies slain in North Pass, Hubran, dead at the hands of the Awakened named Onkagar, his greatsword Gathaniel perhaps lost forever. All traces of Lucas Luthien and the Staff of Ristonfer have disappeared from the city of Grammarye. Only Mystra stands whole and complete, racing against time to protect the Races from The Awakened--for Kel'wyn, along with all of his kind, are leaving Therduin, perhaps never to be seen again.

PHILLIPE "MILLE-ARBRES"

A stunning and herioc figure, Phillipe Mille-Arbes ("Thousand Ashes"), also known as Phillipe the Stout, is a rarity among Lorish First Sons. Phillipe laid aside his title and his lands, and in the great tradition of Lorish Second Sons, struck out across the Kingdoms to become a hero.

Along with other characters of near-legendary status, Ulric von Darnor and Sonya Whitehair, he had many great adventures to find and restore the lost blade Araq-Agland. During those times, he forged a great friendship with the Dwarven Clan Trueforger, gaining the name "Phillipe Storyteller" among them.

After being part of the group that slew the Awakened Naugurth, he helped the good people of Almuric free their land from a warlord named Jonval. Thereafter, he returned to his beloved Mille-Arbres in Lorgaard to settle into the life of the gentry.

Recently, however, invaders from across the sea have threatened his homeland, and Philllipe answered the call to defend Lorgaard and perhaps all of Therduin. See the details in the Tale of Overcommander Calidro.
