1954Central Lutheran Church resolves to begin a mission church in the Turnagain area
1955Parsonage and church site purchased
1956 Pastor Glenn Groth and family arrive
1957Official organization of the congregation
1958Dedication of new church building
1967Pastor Don Kruse arrives replacing Pastor Glenn who is transferred to Minnesota
1970New sanctuary dedicated
1973Mark Will serves as first intern.
1974Bill Roen serves as second intern.
1975William Moos serves as third intern.
1976Pastor Paul Jordan installed
1977Ground breaking for Fireside Room and Education Wing
1980Pastor Fritz Youra becomes 4th pastor
1982Hope's 25th anniversary is celebrated
1986Hope Lutheran Preschool begins with Beaty Graves as director
Search Bible Study begins and continues through 1995
1988Pastor William A. Ottum becomes 5th pastor
1994Ground breaking for the Alaska Synod Expansion at Hope
1995Alaska Synod ELCA Office dedicated
1996Alaska Synod Convention held at Hope
1997Mark Allert serves as fourth intern.
