PURPOSE AND CURRICULUM:

Our program is geared to the needs of 3, 4 and 5 year-olds.  We are concerned with the spiritual, emotional, social, academic and physical development of each child.  To that end, our program includes educational activities, i.e., shapes, numbers, colors, letters, etc. in a playful setting.  Christian values are a part of our every-day activities: caring for and sharing with others; prayer at snack time; etc.  Christian holidays are observed: Christmas and Easter, for example.  Physical activities are provided for development of fine and gross motor skills.  A library is available so that children may check out books to take home.  Other learning centers that are available on a daily basis: dress-up, play-house, doll house, puzzle table, play-doh, writing table, painting easel, building blocks, and rice box.  More centers are available on a seasonal basis.  Circle Time takes up about one-half hour and features, music rhythm, stories, birthday recognition, games and show and tell.  Snack time follows.  Each preschool session ends with outdoor play, as weather permits, or indoor games.
