World of Darkess
Set in the future of a world not unlike our own, the WoD is a tragic place to exist in. Vampires roam the streets, preying on mortals at their leisure. Werewolves inhabit the woodlands, and some even dare to enter the cities in an endless fight against the coming Apocolypse. Mages weave spells in the night, fighting their own silent battle. There is much to befall one who enters this world, do you dare?
ShadowRun
Some sixty years into the furture, mythical creatures of the past have arisen again, finding a world engrossed in technology. Where man meets magic & machine, Mega-corporations rule with an iron fist, making/changing laws to fit their own agendas. Will you fight them or join their regiment in dominating the earth?
Dungeons and dragons
What some consider the classic Role-Playing game, D&D takes you back into a mythical world of Dragons and Magic. Spells or steel are your weapons, monsters of legend are your enemies. So take up arms and join the struggle for humanity!
Rifts
Magic returns to Earth, bringing hardship upon humanity once more. Rifts of magic sprout all over the planet, opening temporal disturbances and dimensional gates. Magic meets technology once again in the a tragic world.
Online Roleplaying
Also known as a MU*(MUSH, MUX, MUD, etc), Online role-playing has become a popular way for role-players to join together. Before, geographical location was the biggest obsticle, but take this mother nature!
Connecting to a MU* is easy, you don't even have to download anything. You can use Telnet(though most users do prefer a MU* program....SimpleMU is what I use). All you really require is a place to connect to. Here are a few places that I Role-play at:
Cajun Nights - This MUSHuses the World of Darkness system, and has a pretty big user-base. Connect at : cajun.targonia.com Port:7373
