You might be wondering what will be included in this Physics class.

This course provides a systematic introduction to the main principles of physics and emphasizes the development of conceptual understanding and problem-solving ability using algebra and trigonometry. This course is meant to give you a good overall understanding of a variety of physics concepts.  You will play an active role in your labs which means you will have to figure out how to gather data while minimizing errors.  There will not be any cookbook lab.

The course includes topics in both classical and modern physics. A knowledge of algebra and basic trigonometry is required for the course; the basic ideas of calculus may be introduced in the theoretical development of some physical concepts, such as acceleration and work. Understanding of the basic principles involved and the ability to apply these principles in the solution of problems should be the major goals of the course.
