The name Capricorn Too came about when she needed a name with which to register her Nubian goats. She and her husband Dan are both Capricorns with the same birthday so the name Capricorn Too was a natural. Linda discovered the art of Scrimshaw and it soon took over her life. The goats were sold, a move to Alaska became a goal and Capricorn Too was born.
Linda has been doing Scrimshaw for 20 years now and has honed her self taught skills to a razor's edge. She has taught the art of Scrimshaw in individual and group classes throughout the lower 48. When asked if she fears sharing her secrets she laughs and replies "I'm only using the talents I've been blessed with and anyone who cares to work 12 to 16 hours a day can go for it."
"While growing up I wanted to be a great artist. My life took many twists, turns and detours. I was a single mom 19 years ago when I met my Capricorn partner Dan, allowing me to get back into my art. Little did I know that my canvas would be the fossilized bones and tusks of creatures, some of which are now extinct."
